
The Islamic Republic of Iran has released 28 Pakistani prisoners on Friday as an act of harmony and peace, announced earlier during the visit of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.
The decision was made during the dialogues between the officials of both countries. “According to the sources, the sentences of all these prisoners have been Deferred on humanitarian grounds, and they have deported to Pakistan.”
During the visit The Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and visited to tomb’s of Qaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal to pay his respect.

Allegedly, there are currently 160 Pakistani prisoners in Iranian jail while 60 Iranian prIsoners are in Pakistan’s custody.
