The prices of petroleum products are going to experience a significant drop from May 16.
“According to the reports, the expected lower prices is because of lower oil prices in the International market.” Officials said that, prices of both Petrol and Diesel decreased in the past week, it will help the government to pass on relief, that provides ease to the consumers.”
Consumers are expected to witness the decline of Rs. 10 per litre of diesel and Rs. 14 per litre of petrol , from May 16 onwards.
In the month of April, Government reduced the prices of petrol by Rs5.45 and high-speed diesel by Rs8.42 per litre. Currently the prices of petrol and diesel are set at Rs288.49 and  Rs281.96 per litre, respectively.
