Ibrahim Raisi Died In Helicopter Crash

According to State Media Islamic Republic News Agency, a helicopter carrying Iranian President “Dr. Ibrahim Raisi” and other officials, went down in mountainous area because of unsuitable weather condition on Sunday.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, Governer of East Azerbaijan province Malek Rahmati were also onboard the convoy, consisted of three helicopters, the two other landed safely.

The incident happened, when Raisi was returning back from Azerbaijan, where he inaugurated a dam project.

Head of Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), stated that, ” 40 rapid response teams from IRCS are currently taking part in search operation.”

“Weather conditions are extremely unfavorable and the terrain is difficult to navigate, but we are trying our best to carry out the necessary actions, he added “

“We are utilizing drones and ariel measures, but the due to bad weather condition ariel search operation is not feasible. The area is rugged and mountainous, he said.” We have also dispatched more forces from specific provinces to ensure more personnel on-site.

Leaders across the world have expressed deep concerns and condolence. Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also took their X handle to express grief and sorrow.

Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan said that, “the country is deeply saddened about the incident, We are praying for the safely return of the officials.” Posting on X, the ministry said, “Azerbaijan is ready to provide all necessary support as a friendly and brotherly state.”

Raisi was a prominent figure among the Muslim leaders, he served as a president for three years and expected to run for re-election next year. He was the first Muslim Leader who took stand for the Muslim’s of Palestine against Israel.

Today Muslim-e-Ummah lost a brave and true leader, Muslim from all over the world are in deep sorrow.
