Punjab Govt has changed the timings for both public and private colleges aimed scorching heat in the province effective from May 21 to May 31.
According to the notification, the Higher Education Department, the decision was made in response of intense heat conditions.
The colleges will observe following timings:
Previously, Punjab Education Minister, Rana Sikander posted on X, to close schools early for summer holidays due to extreme hot weather.
““Viewing parents’ opinion and intensity of the weather, we have decided to give the holidays from this week,” he said.
Earlier, The Punjab Education Department had notified summer vacations from June 1st to August 14th.
