Sindh Government Minister Saeed Ghani has declared substantial aid for the government employees in the forthcoming budget 2024-25.
During the meeting, Ghani stated that new budget will definetly focus on timely distribution of salaries and pension to both current and retired employees od municipal agencies.
“The Octroi Zila Tax allocated for the town committees and union council would be raised in reponse to the growth n expenses of the municipal authorities, he added.”
“Saeed Ghani deirected all the reginol directors to compile and submit the list of all serving and retired employess of union council and town commitees who recieves pension and salaries  in their respective jurisdictions.”
The minister emphasized that, the that the Provincial Government should get updated with the number of serving and retired employees, as well as the total expense of union amd town committee. He added that, “this data would be important for ensuring provisions in the upcoming provincial budget to safeguard the salaries and pensions of municipal staff.
The Federal Government is likely to present the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 on June 12.
According to the sources, governmentis working on several proposals of salary increases 10 to 15% for public sectr employees, increase in monetory compensation for the officers of Grade 20, 21 and 22,by 20 t0 25%.
Grade 20 21 and 22 officials have been receiving automobile payments of Rs67,000, Rs77,000, Rs87,000 per month respectively.
