Today Balochistan Government has revealed its bidget for the fiscal year 2024 of massive amount of Rs. 955 billion.
Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani has presented the budget that includes the proposal of increase in salaries of the government employees. Futhermore, 15% increase in pension is also proposed.
The budget for Public Sector Development Program is set at Rs. 321 billion. The budget outlines a 25% salary increase for employees from grade 1 to 16, and a 22% increase form grade 17 to 22.
Following are the highlights of budget allocations:
- Rs. 219 billion for development
- Rs. 126.26 billion for education
- Rs. 13 billion for pensions
- Rs 138 billion for General Public Service
- Rs. 93.12 billion for law and order
- Rs. 57 billion for health
- Rs 79.36 for economic affairs
- Rs 49.92 housing facilities
- Rs. 6 billion for culture and religious affairs
