
The Sindh Government had recently announced to impose 3% on all educational institutes across the province, charging more than 500,000 annuallyin fees to generate Government revenue.
According to the sources, the private hospitals charging 25000 Rs. per day for private room and doctors consultation charges over 3000 Rs. will also be taxed at 3%.
The decision of sales tax on hospitals and schools will be effective from July 1 after approval, as the Sindh Assembly has not yet voted on these proposals.

Sindh Finance Minister, Murad Ali Shah, stated that schools charge Rs. 42000 per month will be taxed and the collected money will be utilize for the funding in educational sector.
