Inaugural Flight Of Somon Air’s Lands In Islamabad

Tajik Somon Airlines commence its first flight operation and reached Islamabad from Dushanbe today. Flight SMR landed at Islamabad International Airport at 11:45 AM, carrying fouteen passenger on board.  

According to the reports, the Khyber Pakhtunkwah Governer, Faisal Karin Kundi and Tajik Ambassodar to Pakistan Yusuf Sharifzoda welcomed fourteen passengers.

Fire tenders from Civil Aviation Rescue and fire fighting team performed the traditional salute to the Aircraft. A cake cutting ceremony was also organized to celebrate the event.

Sheheen Airport Services Director Air Comodore Waseeem Ahmed Khan, General Manager Air Commander Shahid Nadeem and Somon Air Cheif Executive Officer expressed their satisfaction on this achievement.

The initiative will provide direct travel between Islamabad and Dushanbe, and will operate on every Thursday.

Later on, the flight SMR 130 departed at 3:30 PM from Islamabad with 52 passengers on board.
